He's a little guy, but he is a premium point guard. He's got to be one of the best if not the best in college.

Taylor made (3) 3 pointers to score their first 9 points, but only scored 2 more points the rest of the game.

Garcia had 17 rebounds last meeting and 8 this one.

Needed inside muscle from Awaka and offensive output from Aidoo both being on the floor at the same time creates an awesome inside edge. Add Mashack‘s defense and quicks to that combo with zz and knecht, well boy howdy and hot damn you get a 30 point blowout.

It wasn’t UK/Auburn on a weekend loud, but it was close several times. Basically the whole 2H the crowd was very in it and standing after big stops/for big possessions. I was surprised, I thought today would be mild with the big games coming up.

How about this one: since the loss to A&M we have scored 338 points, averaging 85 points per game.

And we’ve won those last four games by a combined 104 points, an average margin of victory of 26.

Game was violent. Rick may have been trying to keep him out of foul trouble but who knows.

Initially I thought Barnes benched Knecht for the offensive charge-foul.

Or, was Barnes trying to see who would step up with Knecht on the bench?

Either way it gave Knecht time to rest for the upcoming four game gauntlet.

But your point about keeping him out of foul trouble makes sense, too.

I think JJJ better up his intensity level or Awaka will keep taking more of his PT. Against these teams that want to play rough, Awaka is a great equalizer!

As great as Knecht and Aidoo have played, ZZ is player of the game. 9 pts, 13 assists, 8 rebounds, 4 steals. 5'9" 170 lbs of dynamite.

This was an absolutely huge win because it is this exactly this type of physical team that we have been having issues against this year. Clearly Barnes and Co. did a lot of work preparing the game plan, and the guys responded big time.

Aidoo and Awaka were men amongst boys tonight and just took it to the A&M bigs, we shut down their penetration game and forced them into contested 3's or very tough shots around the rim, and maybe most importantly we crashed the defensive boards with abandon. Their spirit was clearly broken by the constant pressure, and ZZ was just off the charts. You can't measure the impact of Santi's 3 to end the half.
