I cheer just as much as anyone and am I guess becoming a blue hair. I chose to sit because there is a little fellow sitting behind me in the upper deck that would miss any of the game if I stood the whole time. I dont want to ruin the experience for that young one. Just consider a little of the sitting down narrative along with considering many may have health issues that prohibit standing for long periods of time. Just saying. Great game for sure and was just as loud as the next. Lumping all blue hairs as being sorry is like lumping all of the new generation as being sorry. At least they are filling the seats to watch their VOLS.About time. 17-0 run and they were there like it was church. Cmon people.
I agree with your post and not trying to put words in anyone’s mouth, but I think the comment was referring to those who sit in theor seats, arms crossed, with an emotionless expression on his/her face. One can still cheer while sitting down.I cheer just as much as anyone and am I guess becoming a blue hair. Going to be tough to top Taylor and Sears at PG since so much attention is given to scoring. If there were equal weighting given to facilitating and defense, then I think ZZZ would be selected.
Steph Curry had shown definitely that the score-first point guard is a valid approach, and the Warriors have shown that you can still play attractive basketball by using the power forward as a distributor. That said, Zakai has shown his abilities as a distributor and as a scorer this year, not to mention making a good number of defensive plays that translate directly to points, so you hope he's recognized for it. I wouldn't be too upset if he loses out to the guys competing with Knecht for the SEC scoring title though.Zakai is unequivocally a better PG than both Taylor and Sears. Sears and Taylor, IMO, are more 2’s playing the point out of necessity and are score first guards. Zakai definitely doesn’t score like either of them, but he takes fewer shots. But you don’t see Sears hardly ever facilitating like ZZ did last night. Zakai is exactly what you want at the PG position.
But like you said, low IQ basketball people look at PPG first and say Zakai isn’t as good. Heck we had some idiots on Vol Twitter calling for Wade Taylor to be our PG after he owned us in the first game and started hot last night. I would never make that trade though.
