The Official #5 Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt Game Thread, 1:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Maybe I'm wrong, but this might be CRBs last year here. Don't think the fans and doners will let this abomination continue much longer!

This team must have a higher opinion of themselves than reality. They aren’t good enough to roll the ball out there and expect to win even at home. Vandy is getting anything they want. And when they miss they are killing us on glass. Plenty of time left but we will see the character of this team in 2nd half but they put themselves in a big hole. And potentially looking at a .500 record in conference play.

Can’t sugarcoat that 💩. That was as poor an effort defensively and in rebounding that I’ve seen all year. Didn’t come out ready to play and Vandy punched them in the mouth. Carey is just killing our big guys inside and it’s all effort.

There is a problem that has developed over the last 5 games that I can’t put a finger on but they had better wake up. Very lethargic and there’s just no excuse for poor effort. Problem is we don’t have enough depth to pull guys who aren’t performing. Hopefully they can wake up. First 5 minutes of this half will tell a lot.

Absolutely nothing. Barnes knows this roster is very limited and mentally weak. He assembled it.
This roster isn't mentally weak. It's limited offensively and always was. Defensively we've played right into their strengths, not sure that isn't more on coaching than the players tbh. I just don't think our defenders match up well against their offense and what they are doing.

We had high expectations for this team, but these pieces put together just don't get it done at the elite level. Really need a better inside presence both ways and another guard that can create opposite ZZ on offense.

Kentucky and Vanderbilt have been about matchup issues as much as anything IMO.
