The Official #5 Tennessee vs. Vanderbilt Game Thread, 9:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Is it possible that the "Manningcast" has now become THE standard for a bunch of wannabes? Hope you feel better.

Yeah, still got the after effects (bit of a cough) but back to normal now. Thanks!

I'm not sure what has happened. People tune in to watch the games, that's always how sports works. No one is tuning in to listen to Tom Hart or Bill Walton or whoever else chew the fat about their favorite ice cream shop and if these announcers are so bored watching the game that's what they wanna talk about maybe find someone else?

Assuming he stays healthy I think he’s a national breakout candidate next year…likely sees his minutes increase up around 28-30mpg, could see him putting up 13-15ppg/8-10rpg/2-3bpg

Yeah looking at Aidoo's per 40 so far this season; 12.6 ppg, 12.0 rpg, 2.7 bpg... so if he gets better as the year continues and develops his game going into next year he could definitely reach those numbers I think.

I used to think his ceiling would be Kyle's best...but the more you see from Aidoo the more you think maybe he can be a Wayne Chism type big.

I felt early on that he would surpass Alexander. Aidoo was a highly regarded player out of high school. Alexander also only played basketball his last 2 years in high school, I believe. Aidoo had skills coming into college basketball that surpassed what Alexander had by a pretty good margin. Aidoo was the real deal coming in here.

100%.

Not a lot of competition ofc but I can definitely see him being the best 5 man to come out of UT in a long, long time. Not out of the question he ends up being a fringe lottery pick if he's able to put it all together next year.

There's a lot of 7 footers that can protect the rim and catch lobs, but not many that can do these 2 things while also being a threat from 3 and hit the occasional hook shot when needed.

I don't think he runs the floor as well but I see a lot of Myles Turner in Aidoo.

A moral victory that at best a good Vanderbilt team played in a close game vs a great Volunteers team that did defeat a great Jayhawks, and went to toe to toe with a great Arizona Wildcats team.
