A lot of the starters sat the end of the first half. I wonder if Barnes’ gameplan is to keep them fresh and out of foul trouble and just turn them loose to wear Creighton down this half.

If the officiating will allow it? I’m probably just suffering from SEC officiating PTSD, so I’m just paranoid.
But We have to continue to go to the rack on these guys and draw fouls. We have to find out how deep Creighton can go?

A lot of the criticism for Aidoo on defense by Mike F. should be going to DK. He is the one not seeing and rotating to provide the help defense. Has caused it to look like Audio has given up 6 points.

I actually feel good....as long as we don't get a terribly officiated second half. We are making them hit hard shots and I think their percentage comes down 5-10% in the 2nd half.

Awaka and JJJ will play more in second half and I think we start to dominate the paint. Our offense will pick up and if we can stay 7--8 deep then we will win. Gainey and JJJ have played very well and if Mashack can add some offense on drives then we are in business. Awaka should give us around 6 points in second half.

We are more athletically dominant and are smothering them. Barnes will have the guys figure out rotation to the open big for Creighton. That leaves them with long, difficult 2's and 3's. Their one guy on our athletic level has 2 fouls.

We pull away and win by double figures with a short second half rotation and fair officiating unless Creighton continues to hit extremely hard 3 point shots. If so, hats off to them.

Definitely. No matter his struggles with shots or lack thereof, he’s been an integral piece of the system this year.

But they’ve done a pretty good job responding to his absence. The post is killing us early on both ends, and with the exception of some nerves and being lost by Dillione, team has done really well.

Yes, except most of the wide open shots on the drop are Aidoo and he has not shown a consistent ability to hit that all year. I hope we are telling him to stop taking that shot and either kick it out or attack the basket to try and draw a foul on Kalk. That midrange jumper is such a low percentage shot for Aidoo.

It's good strategy. It forces midrange shots from Aidoo who isn't very good at midrange shots. We need to find some way to move him off the block.

Aidoo never shoots that jumper with confidence. He always hesitates while his defender backs off him daring him to take it. He was soft both ways and this is a favorable matchup for him. Hopefully he wakes up in the second half.

I think everyone is missing that Creighton is setting a screen on those lob plays and Aidoo is getting picked off by the screen. Someone else has to be responsible for the guy going to the basket.

They probably saw Aido’s slow response to cover that on film. Let’s see if Barnes has an answer for it after half time. It’s almost like Aido doesn’t think they’ll do it again or just doesn’t recognize it.

I agree. Didn’t help that we didn’t get any of their playmakers into foul trouble. They literally have six stars. If we can get two of those guys into foul trouble they are toast. We need Grant Williams.

Yeah. People underestimate Santi. He inked the offense and where to go with the ball. He and the others have chemistry and know where the other players will be on the court. He also gives us a lift with defense and rebounding.

My problem with Aidoo isn't defense... Offensive problems Abound.... unless we are playing a mid major
