A lot of the starters sat the end of the first half. I wonder if Barnes’ gameplan is to keep them fresh and out of foul trouble and just turn them loose to wear Creighton down this half.

Gotta keep mashak on the floor (no fouling) in the second half. Think that will be the key.

Yeah and they are gonna keep doing it if Aidoo doesn't make some semblance of an adjustment.

Aidoo is at least a step or two slow in reacting to what they are doing. Getting sucked into the screen every time.

It is not on Aidoo to adjust! Someone else has to rotate. Think of it this way. It is 3 on 2 basketball without the other UT player rotation.

I don’t think he knows how to fight off the back screen. He looked lost.

Knecht was the defender at fault in those situations. If you see your big pulled tha5 fat off his man then you rotate partially down to be able to react to a pass to the open big or your guy and buy time for recovery or make q disruptive play.

That is difference between DK and rest of our guys on D. He has improved over the year but needs to adjust in this game.

If the officiating will allow it? I’m probably just suffering from SEC officiating PTSD, so I’m just paranoid.
But We have to continue to go to the rack on these guys and draw fouls. We have to find out how deep Creighton can go?

Go to the rack with strength. Too Often our guys going to basket are soft. Draw contact….you can’t get charge in arc.

We’ve had Aidoo closing on the high shooter off screens. They saw it on film and run a back screen to Kalkcracker.

He’s 4/10.. leads the team in shots at the half. I don’t think he’s passing on shots at all. I think he’s trying to adjust to Creighton’s defense around the rim and, in turn, forcing the issue in the midrange. He needs to settle in on the perimeter and go off.

This is asinine. The nature of this tourney is brutal. Elite 8 as the minimum is insane. We are the SEC champs.
