All you have to do is scroll through social media comments to see that most basketball fans are disgusted by Purdue and Zach Edey. Propagating this team is a strange hill to die on.

Rick should have put the young guys in and just beat the hell out of Edey. If they could have got in his head it would have helped tremendously.

There are few things Barnes needs to do this offseason. He really needs to sit down with Jonas in the spring and really challenge him. If Jonas isn’t ready to put in the fight it might be time to move on. Awaka and Estrella should be chomping at the bits to go at him and take his spot. Second, he needs to find more balanced guards. DK was great offensively, but he was a liability on defense. SV gave great effort, but other than being behind the three point line, he didn’t scare anyone.

Not on shots. But he hooks and camps in the lane. The same fouls he draws for getting bodied are never called on him. It’s pretty amazing.

ETA: not to mention the travels and moving screens. He gets away with about whatever he wants to.

It's been bad for 20 years, they will do nothing as long as people keep watching and they make money. The only way to change it is if we stop watching and that's not happening.

Glad you’re not being difficult. Edey sucks and gets every call. He hooks, throws elbows and he’s friggin 7’ 4”. To think he just had one foul on him is just ludicrous. What game did you just watch.

Clings will eat him alive. Aidoo killed us today. Edey only had to work half the floor and was still so tired at the end he airballed a FT. If he is forced to play hard D like UConn will make him he will wear out. Plus Clingman can shut him down on D.

There’s no shame in losing in the elite 8, but I’m so disheartening and pissed off. We’re in a new good era for the Vols but this PoS low tier big 10 team has our number in multiple sports now. Why does god hate the Vols so much that he would somehow make us in some weird unofficial rivalry with Purdue of all schools.

Yeah, we should have done that. Despite most the fans on here argue about refs, I didn't see him fouling alot. Where he really hurt us was just standing there in the middle of the paint and keeping us out of the paint. Zeigler and others would drive only to pass it out once they got to him. I don't think we had an answer for him on either side of the ball.

One thing I have seen in watching a lot of basketball in my lifetime is that a player noticeably taller than anyone else around him sort of has a mesmerizing effect on the refs. Unless he is just horrible, he will get a lot of breaks that he wouldn’t get otherwise

Officiating has been trash forever but I don’t know I’ve ever witnessed such blatant bias for one player and one team throughout an entire season before. It’s scripted. That’s the problem here.

ZZ wasn't very good on offense but he played an incredible floor game. The only problem is we needed some offense.
