honestly my expectations were not high coming into this game and they significantly out performed them.

This was our first true road game vs a top team since Florida. I was worried about a performance closer to Florida game than what we got tonight.

I think we can pump the brakes on the hot takes we aren’t a top tier team in the country.

Good take. Not many teams in the country can hang with Auburn at their place. If not for some suspect officiating in the last 2 minutes, it was there for the taking.

Then to have Auburn win it on a completely lucky bounce after we block Broome's shot. Ball just landed in that kid's hands and he pulls that 3-pointer out of his ass.
#10 for Auburn may well have the most punchable face in the SEC and acts like an idiot on court.

Yep. The shot blocked on Broome could have easily bounced off him out of bounds and game is completely different. The way it goes sometimes.

Definitely easier to swallow than that effort at Florida. At least Kentucky lost to Vandy today, that helps.

Absolutely. Auburn has been the best team in college bball IMO and we took the fight to them despite shooting terrible we could have easily won that. Long way until March let’s keep getting better

It was an open 3 and we wanted time for a put back off an offensive rebound - great play design that gave us 2 chances to score

Probably would have had the put back too if the rebound hadn’t gone so high.

Don’t remember who but we had someone shooting right down the center of the lane to slam it home. Just didn’t get a favorable bounce.

I have said it before Igor will definitely rebound for you but his outside shot is horrible. He kind of just pushes it up there. Obviously Barnes is not going to let Dubar have any minutes to get comfortable in a game. TN will not win the big game if they cannot get a second or third shooter. Gainey could be one of them. Please quit taking Dubar out if he makes a mistake. If that was the case, everyone would constantly come out.

I was hopeful for Dubar but can't play defense and is a turnover waiting to happen on offense. Had an open 3 to end the first half and turned it down. Phillips ended up having to throw up a prayer.

And gets away with body fouls and grabbing constantly. Watching how the refs treated him reminded me of Lurch. Both of them can get Avian Flu for Valentines Day as far as I am concerned.
