The Official #6 TENNESSEE (3-0) vs. #15 Oklahoma (3-0) Thread - Zone Edition - 9/21 @ 7:30 EST - from Memorial Stadium (Norman, OK) - ABC

I wanted Pruitt fired, Butch fired, Kelly fired, Holly fired, Phil fired as AD, Hart fired as AD, Schiano fired...

Ive done my firing. I expressed frustration with effort against uscE in 2022 and with some of the tight efforts the basketball team has had...
I will grudgingly give you Fulmer as AD....but I will forever hold those who backed firing Fulmer and Chavis mid season when we were on our way to a SEC title maybe. They rushed it because they were afraid he might end season well and not be able to. That was classless Poison that near ruined UT sports for a couple of decades. That bad karma plus losing the VOLS letters put a mighty powerful hex on the place.

The timing sucked with Fulmer in 2008. It would have been one thing had we had a great coach in mind but we chose to go to the bargain bin and nuke the buyout to save a little cash. It was an absolute clusterF...

Reasonable minds can debate whether Fulmer tenure had run its course but to go cheap and not protect yourself contractually was administrative incompetence...

Fulmer should have never been let near the AD in 2017. Whoever decided that was an idiot...

To crap on the guy who made your program competative for the first time truly since Neyland made hiring a sane coach near impossible for awhile.

Philmer had been done for several years.

We could have had Patterson but we were too cheap and we wouldn't let him bring his coordinators. Hammy would rather win the press conference with Kiffin than win games....

I think Kiffin was a brilliant OC, but completely unprepared to be a HC then....it requires a diff set of skills including personal relationships and management of people...a more nuanced skill set one might say.

Kiffin was probably too immature then and Patterson would have been the better hire. But Hammy was more concerned with winning the press conference and saving a couple hundred thousand on HC salary...

Hey!!
It’s Duck.
It must be football season. Ducks back
LOL..... Well it's certainly a different season for my Ducks. High expectations, a new conference and a very slow start to the season. I'll admit I've been spending more time on a few of the B1G ten conference boards getting a feel for what's to come and what they think of my Ducks. So my appology for not being on Volnation as much as I have been in the past. You're a great group of fans.

You guys are off to a great start, just might get the job done this year in the SEC. Georgia seems to be having a "few" distractions, Florida doesn't seem to know which way to go, LSU let U$C beat them, Bama took down Wisc hard and Tx spanked Mich. It's going to be a very intersting year.

My dark horse to win it all is Miami. Now I'm definitly not a Mario fan, but they've put together a pretty interesting team. He's always been able to bring in good linemen on both sides of the ball. Now he's added Martinez RB from Oregon St and Cam Ward QB from WSU, he's finally got some offensive threats, let's see if he can keep from getting in their way and just let them play ball.

Oh, and golf has been going quite well this summer and there's still plenty of great weather out there.
