My allegiance isn’t with TV. I don’t support this program and I have said it many times here and given reasons why


I’ve hated vandy for years here but respect them.

You are ridiculous in thinking that Corbin has done more than Vitello in 3 years at their respective program. Last year didn’t count obviously, never made it to conference play.

Corbin didn’t have a Top 8 program in year 3, period. Vitello does.

if TV does that then yea he will have surpassed what Corbin did in 4 years

I think that’s fair. By the time he figured it out he had also recruited guys that didn’t fit the mold to successfully transition. He would have needed a couple more years. Really nice guy, he just ran out of rope.

What I liked most about him was that he considered UT his dream job. He loved Knoxville. He also completely reversed our academic issues. I believe all those things can make a difference in the long term success of a program.

Actually it took Corbin 5 years.

Also took Corbin 9 years to reach the CWS and I really believe Vitello can reach that milestone here. As a matter of fact, I would bet on it. If CTV is here in 9 years we will have reached at least 1 CWS. Would be quite the accomplishment.

i think he will reached the CWS in that time as well and I’d bet on it as well .


I’d also bet that Corbin made vandy very relevant in year 2 when he won 45 games. More so than TV did in year 2 which is what your op said. As usual it was wrong and you are changing the target

EKU won the first game of a DH to move to 9-16 and 4-7. You have been dodging that one today very well. Still think they are solid?? Lol

auburn has shown some great fight this weekend. Thompson is one of the good guys coaching in this league and I’d expect nothing less for a team being 0-6 coached by him

My premise was that Vitello has done just as much or more than Corbin in 3 years. Corbin played a much easier non-conference schedule in his first 3 years. You cherry picked year 2 and failed to mention the 13-17 (backed up a bit) year 3 for Corbin. But hey we can agree that Vitello will have this program in a CWS as quick or even quicker than Corbin. Let’s leave it at that. Us agreeing is a milestone in and of itself.

Why do you consistently hang out in here and discuss baseball if you don’t support the program? Since the 1st two classes where he likely oversigned in an effort to flip the roster and get his guys in there he’s fallen more in line with others. For the 2020-2023 he’s averaging 17 commits, if nothing changes, Vandy will average 17.75, MSU 16, TCU 17.33 for 2020-2022 (only have 5 committed right now for 2023). It’s fair to say they’ll likely sign 10+ keeping them around 16-17 avg.

Bruin there are Covid related reasons for the recent EKU slippage. At full strength they are solid, backed up by the TWO wins against Top 6 programs. Let’s not revisit this, it is a waste of time at this point and neither of us are budging. Agree to disagree.

Could be but scouts don’t think so and he isn’t injured because he is still going 5 plus innings. The kid is still going Top 5 which is amazing but a considerable difference in 1st pick vs 3,4,5. I think Leiter has definitely surpassed him as the best RHP in the country.

Let me ask you this and then I am done with it. How would your Vandy boys do for 2 weeks if they had 3 of their best pitchers quarantined? I’ll answer it for you. They would lose every series until they returned.

As for vandy they’d win plenty of games as they have arms coming out their ass.
