If there's five, you gotta make the plays, if there's eight, you've got to make all the plays....Seen any stats on how home court is effecting the referees this season?
Someone used to run numbers on how many fouls got called on each team at home vs. on the road. I think the assumption has always been that crowd noise creates a subconscious penalty/reward in each ref's mind that translates to the whistle.
This season should (sadly) provide some control data for that experiment.
It's the one's were "if we don't do this we're going to lose" or "we haven't played anybody" and such.
Yes Sir. A dub would be great. No differential stats required. I would like to see the hometown five keep them below 28% from three...Only a couple of those, not many. Most people here think we're going to win.
With that being said, those couple of posts aren't without merit though. I get wanting to stay be optimistic and believe we've got every game under control...but that makes for very little conversation. And well, this is a message board for discussion.
We've played some decent teams, but 3/6 of those teams are still winless teams. I think it goes more to say that we haven't played anybody as good as Missouri yet. First ranked opponent and first road game. Our first real test.
