To be fair, prior to these 2 games UT had won a few in a row against top 5 teams and look where that got us in the postseason. Maybe this year the script will flip. Lose early and win late! There's no shame on those 2 losses, we just need to grow from them.To be relevant, we need to steal one every now and again. Don’t like moral victories or participation trophies.
Yeah, but the only thing you could do to prepare would be extra conditioning and I don’t think that’d be worth it for the one time all year you have to do it. Seems like more shooting work would be a better use of their time.Still need to be prepared for it. Period.
Again, it’s not like they were surprised by it.
You might want to check their stats versus ours. Dickenson had 17 points and a double double. what did our bigs have, not much. Their bigs opened up their offense. Ours unfortunately aren’t.They did not. Quite the opposite, actually.
It was disappointing with respect to missing a lot of open shots and rebounding. If we did either the way we are capable, we win both games easily due to our defense.
38.1% in 21/22, 37.5% in 22/23 and a putrid 23.3% so far this year. Why we're letting him take 4 3's in a game is beyond me. Unless it's a shot clock thing he shouldn't be shooting 3s. I'm hoping he pulls out though as he's a competitor and plays tough D. He's also a great ball handler (shaky passer though) and FT shooter.Ziegler has been a horrendous shooter even dating back to last year.
Aidoo had 8 and 11, which is solid. He didn’t play great last night but was in foul trouble guarding Edey. He had a double double against Syracuse. If he can consistently get 10 and 10 rebounds, we will be fine.Y

Obv the board would be boring if there was no disagreement. I disagree with people on here all the time, and them with me. The part that makes it unenjoyable is the people who only recycle the same 3 criticisms and have nothing insightful or new to say ever, and who show up exclusively when we lose. Makes me have to scroll through a lot of bilge to reach anything interestingDon't let people convince you to ignore people you disagree with. If others want to live in a bubble so be it. What they don't learn is tolerance and diversity of thought. It's something that is plaguing the country in other areas of life. Just because someone complains it shouldn't hurt someone feelings. I call the good and the bad. I didn't see the game, but clearly 60 points tell me the offense or offensive players were bad again.
Yeah, I think we're better than Purdue but I think Kansas is better than us. We can certainly beat either of them. I want another crack at the Boilers though. The game with Purdue was played really well by our side. Reffing was questionable, didn’t do great down the stretch but it was an effort you could be proud of.
We got outclassed in this game. Offense was bad (again). Defense was surprisingly bad. Don’t think we have had a worse game defensively that I can recall since being routed by UK I think 2 or 3 years back.
I think it's more about shot selection. Last year we often shot 3s without the ball ever penetrating the paint. That is almost always a bad shot, even if "open". I haven't paid as much attention to that yet this year but it did seem like we settled for jump shots too much in this tournament rather than working the ball to generate a quality shot. Plus, we have too many 3s being shot by people that aren't our best shooters. He has said “we can’t continue to miss open looks” after every game. He knows it’s an issue, everyone does. But it’s always been an issue and has never been resolved. I think we just don’t have many good shooters, rather than it being Rick’s offense. We’re open all the time and just miss.
Putting a handful of know nothing blowhards that live to start arguments online on ignore is just good practice. Your blood pressure doesn’t need that.
