The Official #7 Tennessee vs. Mississippi State Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN (hopefully it stays)

Well, I actually watched the whole game without making any posts this game. I thought we might have intentionally played a tad soft most of the game but accomplished what we needed to do.
Hopefully Nico will be ready to go next week.

The game last week gives me pause to say this but allowing state to have their day on the ground and not allow the big passes may have been the gameplan. Didn't feel.like he blitzed much.

I doubt it. Georgia can't throw. Tennessee's defense can maul them. If we play 20% cleaner, Tennessee will win. On our worst day, Georgia wins barely.
Can MS state throw? No, they just ran the ball up the middle for massive gains. We have got to clean up our act on rushing defense or we’re in trouble

That is the problem ............. Coach Heupel's teams historically are not super disciplined, especially in a tough road environment.
Not here and not at UCF. I don't know - maybe it just comes with the "play loose and aggressive" mentality.

I'm wondering were we laying back a little on defense. We did keep them under 20 points but maybe we were saving ourselves for the Dawgs next week.

I hope Nico is ok too, but I need to see more proof than CJH saying he should be ready for Georgia. The fact that we didn't see Nico return in second half raises a flag for me plus we all know that coaches (even ours) will downplay injuries to keep other teams guessing.

Low key might be genius if he is ok with a little discomfort and we let him rest to make GA to study for both. Good on Heupel
