The Official #8 Tennessee @ Vanderbilt Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, ABC

Sure I can, but wrong about what? That our play calling was paltry early on and many times throughout this season… and it has hurt us? Are you saying it hasn’t been? You mistake someone’s criticism of a glaring deficiency for them not being glad when the ship is righted. It’s just observations. It’s a sports forum, during a game. People are gonna call it like they see it and most people on this board recognize our offensive struggles this year and last. You don’t have to be here if you don’t like that. Nice comeback by Tennessee. Horribly slow start that made things difficult for themselves. Both can be and are true.
Do you know the play that was called? Do you see if the #1 receiver is or isn't covered? Discussing the plays or the results of said plays is what a forum is about, to hate on coaches, players, and want everyone fired isnt criticism, it is lunacy, especially only 5 minutes into the game.

Offensive struggles has nothing to do with play calling or preparedness, it is a personal issue, an experience issue at the most important position. If Nico was slinging it all over the field, hitting more big plays but also throwing a lot more pick....the same people who are criticizing would be screaming to run the ball.....

Oddly, getting behind helped by changing our conservative mindset to closer to 22’ more aggressive tighter windows and over the middle plays mode. Still set up by the off tackle runs and at the sidelines out passes flattening out the secondary. Just part of the package.

If we don’t make any dumbass mistakes like we did in the 1st half, we win. We’ve best spotted Vandy 14 points. Outside of that we’ve controlled the game
We’ve doubled them in total yards with half the time of possession. Our depth should win out, unless penalties & turnovers rear their ugly heads

The NEGA’s are versatile for sure.

It was an ugly start, but credit to the team and the staff for making necessary corrections and straightening it out. Now need two more quarters and I hope Heupel puts the foot down on the accelerator and runs them out of their high school stadium.
