LFG!!!!! The Tennessee Volunteers are going to the CFP. Phew. That first 5 minutes I was thinking we were going to blow it.

Nico did the damn thing today. Is there room to improve, sure. But our offense stayed on schedule and racked up 500+ yards.

I love this football team. Yes the penalties are unacceptable and keep drives for our opponents alive but the ability to not let it snowball speaks to this team’s competitive greatness.

New season in 3 weeks. Get rested, lock in on the details and let’s make Neyland a house of horror for our first round opponent

Reading this game thread CJH sucks, too conservative, is no good, etc. I do recognize the play calling is suspect at times and cost UT the Arkansas game. That’s fair but:

Another 10 win season

First time UT has had 3 - 9 win seasons in a row since 20 years or something.

Beat bama and florida twice

College football playoff appearance

I’ll take that over the last crap we’ve seen since Fulmer was fired.

Actually in hindsight, the Ark loss actually helped us. We avoid the extra bloodbath of the SEC Championship game.
Without divisions, that game is archaic now. It is better to bypass it as long as you get into the playoffs IMO

The game threads get emotional and we started out like hot garbage early. Gotta learn to take some of the comments with a grain of salt. Good win to secure a playoff spot.

Yeah. There were a whole lotta people jawing early about Heupel sucked, and his offense was a gimmick that teams had figured out, and how Nico sucked ass, and how Vandy was going to win or even blow Tennessee out. For some reason the really negative ones have obsessed about how Nico was a "worse Jarrett Guarantano." Those sure aged well.

Just makes you wonder what goes on in the mind, to drive people to pop off like that before the first quarter's even finished.

Team didn’t let early setbacks knock them off their game. I will admit that I was too negative early. BVS stays with you a lot longer than I wished it did.
But they followed the General’s maxim and put on more steam

I don’t feel stupid, this is still a very flawed undisciplined team. Today they played well enough for long enough to overcome the mistakes. Remarkable to get to 10-2
