The Official #8 Tennessee @ Vanderbilt Game Thread, 12:00 PM ET, ABC

I was a little dramatic first quarter. Really couldn’t believe how bad we started with so much on the line. Glad I kept watching and rooting and glad I was proven wrong. We came ready. Just had a fluke start.
We haven’t had to actually defend many kickoffs this season. Wonder how much that contributed to the TD return

Actually in hindsight, the Ark loss actually helped us. We avoid the extra bloodbath of the SEC Championship game.
Without divisions, that game is archaic now. It is better to bypass it as long as you get into the playoffs IMO
Archaic or not, it remains for now the means by which the SEC champion is crowned. I have no doubt our team wanted to win the conference championship.

Need USC to win. Need Miami to win. Already ranked above us. So they win out won’t affect our seed.

If Miami losses, believe that puts Clemson in the ACC championship and they can get automatic bid if they beat SMU, which moves us all down a spot.

It's funny how a lot of you were crying in the beginning of this thread. Fire Heupel, see you next year, ect ect. He now has two 10 win seasons in the SEC and a playoff berth.
It's pathetic....bunch of clowns fretting with TEN MINUTES left in the first quarter.... It's not embarrassing the way we started play it's embarrassing our fans gave up on our team with 10 minutes left in the first day quarter.

Pathetic.

How can a team look so bad in the first quarter, then play so well the rest of the game? You see it all the time. Certainly not just with this team. Amazing how quickly something can change the flow of a game.

I wouldn't call it a "fluke start". We've done it almost every game this year. Nothing about it says fluke to me.

You mean when things are going bad people are upset, but when things go good people are happy? Sounds normal to me
Oh I would imagine everyone watching has that range of emotions. It's that people go from absolute doom to "'by fiddy " from one possession to the next.

Maybe with Georgia but they will not with Indiana, IU will have played only 2 ranked teams and lost to both, the rest of their schedule has a losing record.
Time will tell. I would’ve agreed with you two days ago but as I stated, the sports media began changing the narrative again. It ticked me off but such as life. They already gave the Heisman to Hunter.

Come on dude. Such as life in sports. There is a range of emotions during a game. Let’s enjoy the outcome and celebrate, knowing we all want TN to play well.
