I remember a 41-18 beating from Vanderbilt in 2012. My hatred for them when to a new level that night. The Vols were lifeless under Derek Dooley. I want them to keep the pedal down all game and score as much as possible.

We need to start fast in this game. The longer you let an inferior opponent hang around, the more life you give them. We need to step on their throats from the jump and not let up.

Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia games all suggest this will be a similarly close game. Vandy is not UTEP, Miss State, Kent State or UTC. Penalites, turnovers, in-game adjustments will all be critical. What have you seen from the Vols this season that gives you such a strong mind?

TN is the better team and I don’t think like a defeatist like some of you. I never said the game wouldn’t be close but I also don’t sit around thinking of bad scenarios either. Someone mentioned desire. Do you not think TN will be motivated?
