I’m impressed with Tarleton. They are getting a pass by refs but, they are playing with intensity and we are not. Cmon Vols!

The problem is we are being impressed every time we play one of these teams. There only other high major opponent mopped the floor with them. At some point you have to start wondering why we aren't doing the same.

And that's something I thought we'd not see this year. Still early but with the way we're playing, I can't see us getting past the sweet 16....and that assumes favorable match ups and no injuries.

My question is does Barnes spend most of the practices working on D more than offense? It seems like for the last 4-5 years our teams struggles shooting the ball and we do not have consisten shooters

The fact of this is kids make shots or they don’t. The first thing you do in Basketball is shoot, from fricking 3 yrs old. So Barnes resorts to defense thinking everyone that shows ups can shoot. It doesn’t work that way when everyone plays good D. Now it’s time to call some plays and creat some shots. We don’t do it. That is on Barnes. Yeah we get as many open 3’s as a tarelnton does against us, but that’s not creating offense most of the time.

Well we have had start time, refs of course, finals, jetlag(a week after a flight) and sickness. They are getting harder and harder to top but I'm sure they are coming up with a new one.
