I don’t know the SEC rules on this but if the game is called in the 9th inning, the mlb rules are runs scored at the top of the 9th do not count and the final score is the score at end of the eighth.

SEC rules may allow them to come back and finish the game tomorrow before the regular scheduled game Sunday.

innings or more per NCAA Rule 5.6), it will be declared a game."
I found this, it doesnt sound good.

Redemption Rye is very good as well.

Redmon gave up some shots in the 7th, including one barely foul down the RF line that would have cleared the bases. Why didn't Coach go with Hunley after the 1st HR in the 8th? Would have been righty vs righty. Oh well.

That’s what the MLB book says. But runs scored in the top half of an inning don’t count if the home team doesn’t bat. The final score ends up being the score after the latest complete inning, in this case the 8th.

If the game is called, LSU might bitch but they know the rule.

Seems unfair to the home team to deprive them of the opportunity to have their final at bats. Seems like the procedure outlined by wmcovol would be the proper way to end it. Wishful thinking. I suspect they'd just carry it over until tomorrow and complete it before starting the final game of the series.

Not surprised SEC allows games to be suspended. MLB turns the game over to the umpires once the game starts. That removes any home team bs of stopping a game over a drizzle for 10 minutes. SEC requires the full game to be played to prevent that since umpires can be of local area.

If this happened tomorrow or LSU had to leave before the game is complete, the final score does revert to the score at the last completed full inning. I know this cause it happened to my son in the SunBelt several years ago.

What I think might be interesting. Depending on how long the first game is the second maybe be shorter. I do remember from years past the SEC has a drop dead time of 4pm on Sundays.

My feed to the game says the event has ended ..... :mad: whatever that means??

Did they give LSU the win and then sent everybody home??

all conferences allow their Friday and Saturday games to be suspended in such cases. Now Sunday games aren’t
