The new album is good. It's different because, of course Layne isn't around, but still good. Duvall does his best to keep the AiC sound the same or similar, but as people have said before no one can replace Layne.

i remember being at lollapalooza in 93 and layne came right out and set in the sound box that was right next to us during dinosaur jr.'s set. it was about 95 degrees outside and he was dressed in a suit drinking a tallboy budweiser. my buddy went over and shook his hand before security surrounded him. fun times...

This is amazing. Great cover. When you can get Corey Taylor to slow down and actually sing and not growl he had a really good rock voice. Don't get me wrong I like Slipknot, but his voice is way better when he actually sings. Putting Lewis and Taylor together is a good combo of rock voices.

everybody has their own opinion, but to say PJ was the worst band to come out of that is borderline ridiculous.

I'm just not a big PJ fan. If I were to rank the Grunge bands, I would put AIC, STP, Soundgarden, and Nirvana all ahead of PJ. That's not to say I don't like PJ, because they do have some good songs.

Of all those (for me, anyway), Soundgarden is the only one that surpasses PJ in substance, musicianship, and consistency.

Nirvana never did anything for me either. I agree with the Soundgarden analysis, though...BadMotorFinger is one of the best albums of all time.

I'd put Nirvana last in that list.
