The key is to pull Ortiz before he buries the team.

Let's face it, the Yanks have a squad, they once again have bought themselves into contention.

Without Bay's power numbers, Ortiz will have to step it up big time, I personally think that he is done, may be wrong, hope I am.

If I'm not, Tito has got to pull him before he goes on another 60 GAME SLUMP!

Big Poopi is disappointing. He's pretty useless right now, teams go to a shift and he's done for.

Personally, I like the Victor DH/Captain Catcher deal.

I'm loving the fact that Hermida is getting more time, the kid can play.

The Yanks are good, but seriously, the Sox shot themselves in the foot multiple times.

Watched some of the highlights of tonight's game. Varitek looks like he has lead in his shoes.

There is no one that hates the Sox more than I do, but I've always had respect for Tek. With that said, if he doesn't find the Fountain of Youth pretty soon, he's going to be a liability in games he catches the rest of the way. Those walks and singles will turn into automatic doubles.

The Captain has been more impressive than V-Mart. Which is pretty crazy considering V-Mart was the household name in 2008/2009 while Captain was a worn out veteran. I think Tek has played in 3-4 games this year, and each game he has hit a home run, two in one game against Kansas City. I would rather have the Captain play Catcher and V-Mart DH, considering how horrid Papi has been. Defensively, Victor hasn't been much better and has really struggled with throwing runners out.

Both of them have struggled, that's for sure.

But Tek just doesn't look right.

I didn't get to see the game today, but the box score doesn't look good.

These ace pitchers are getting obliterated.

yeah today wasn't good. the killer was a 2 out walk followed by a homer. seems like the lack of offense is making the defense play tight...which makes the pitching nervous. i dunno why papi is not benched for lowell. at this point it can't hurt to shake things up a little.

At this point do you take the better hitter or the better catcher?

Both are mediocre at throwing runners out, but Jason has a better relationship with the staff. Victor is a better hitter no doubt.

I would like to see Jason back at C and Victor at DH, put Ortiz on the bench, he is done.
