I kind of feel bad for the Pirates, especially this year. 2 years in a row knocked out of the WC round and hosted both games, and this year had the second best record in MLB. I generally don't like the setup of the WC round, but at the same time there's no way they need to expand the playoffs anymore unless they agree to cut some regular season games, which isn't going to happen.

I agree, and I'm cautiously optimistic about the Cards series. I think we can win 3 of 5, but the Cards just become a different animal in the playoffs.

I'm hoping for a Cubs/Mets NLCS, and give them payback for 1969 (even though that was way before my time).

I think these are the two best teams in the NL, along with the Pirates. The Dodgers could pose a threat, but I'm not a believer in the Mets.

Great to see a new chapter in a major rival as Cubs playing Cards for the 1st time in the Playoffs.
I'm optimistic Cubs can this series. My prediction is Cubs win in 5 with most of them being close games.

Agree 100%. I heard one of Doug Gottliebs short 30second snippets on sports talk Thurs talking about how teams shouldn't complain about being left out in the cold. He said they should just win the dang division. Ordinarily I'd agree but hell, if their record was good enough to win every other division but they're sitting I home, I think they're entitled to be a little frustrated.
