Good lord, what a terrible showing at home against the Reds. Barely eek out 1 win against a team 22 games under .500.

Lester should get the chance to punch Strop, Richard, and Rodney all in the crotch for blowing his great effort today. Hindsight is 20/20 but a poor decision to take Lester out in the 8th when he was doing fine.

Considering we're 8.5 up on San Fran, do you consider starting to spot rest some of your players to gear up for a possible playoff run? I don't see us catching Stl, and yeah we're only 2 games back of the pirates does it really matter if you are wc1 or wc2?

Just that it is a home game for wc1 and its a 1 game playoff so I think it would matter somewhat

I'd rather be the home team, but since we'll be sending out Arrieta to win that one game, I feel pretty good about winning that one.

It started good today, now the great bullpen is about to blow it. Plus the Cubs have left about 200 runners on base today.
