The Official Chicago Cubby Bears Thread

It's going to be a fun season. Lots of attention and primetime exposure for the Cubs/Cards and just for the Cubs specifically coming next year.

Jason Heyward absolutely robbed the Chicago Cubs. Dude isn't worth half of that contract. His defense is good but not worth no where near that much money. His batting is a little above average at best.

Heyward is a great, young, all around, complete player. The Cubs made a smart move to sign him long term.

Hopefully he plays at last year's level and not up and down like he was with the Braves.

"What I'm looking at is how deep he going into games."
Well yeah, jackass, that's what happens when you have a sub 1 era. You can work deep into games because you haven't thrown a lot of pitches.
Can't stand SAS.

SAS is so ignorant he probably thinks Cy Young, Walter Johnson and Christy Mathewson did PEDs

Bleh, I know we can't win them all, but that was a terrible outing against a bad Padres team. Maddon pulling Hendricks was a mistake, Strop was awful, and the heart of the lineup came up empty with no outs and 2 on.

You can't keep Heyward in the #2 spot much longer if he doesn't improve. Still a great fielder but dude is struggling badly at the plate.
