The Official Chicago Cubby Bears Thread

Not to mention the nationals are missing two of their better players.

Couldnt believe that Dodger pitcher threw an 0-2 pitch straight down the middle to Montero --- glad the Cubs held on for the W

Congrats Cubs fans! I'm a long suffering Reds fan but would love to see you guys win it all. It would be great for MLB

Well that was pathetic.

It would be really nice if Rizzo and Russell would join us in the playoffs.

Pathetic. Rizzo got one dinky infield hit after it was 6-0, and Russell was pinch hit for with Jason freakin' Heyward. How bad to you have to be hitting to get pulled for Heyward?

This is mind boggling how this team suddenly can't do sh## on offense. And I really miss Jake Arrieta. He's no longer clutch.

It's not mind boggling...it's Kershaw, Hill and Jansen

If they were that good, the Dodgers would have blown through the regular season.

They are good but I still expect much more out of this offense. And Rizzo, Russell, and Heyward haven't hit all playoffs (well Heyward all season).

If Kershaw (nearly historic year, injured), Hill (acquired near the deadline), and Jansen (a reliever) were any good, they'd have won 110 games?

No....

His reply was indicating it's not shocking they've been so bad because of those pitchers; my point is it's not just those pitchers, they aren't that out of this world dominant. It is pretty shocking that the Cubs offense has been so bad. It's not like I made it up, most of the baseball media is talking about it.

I may have interpreted your comment incorrectly. If so, I apologize.

Jansen is dominant. Kershaw was historically out of this world dominant.

But yes, the cubs offense was just dead. Seems they woke up a bit!

I should have said...."even considering who was pitching, it's still shocking they did that bad".

But seems moot now. So maybe it was all Kershaw and Jansen, and Hill was just really on.

The Cubs are 43 and 11 in games started by David Ross this year. 39 and 11 in the regular season and 4 and 0 in the post season.
