The Official Chicago Cubby Bears Thread

Indians near perfect last night. Hopefully the Cubs will do a little better in the next ones.

True but for crying out loud the Cubs need to stop stranding runners in scoring position.

Bases loaded, no outs and get ZERO runs? That's simply unacceptable. And earlier a leadoff double by Zobrist and don't get him in. That crap won't cut it.

Here's the line up for tonight

Fowler CF

Bryant 3B

Rizzo 1B

Zobrist LF

Schwarber DH

Baez 2B

Contreras C

Soler RF

Russell SS

I hope Heyward actually does something this Series, because he's turning out to be one of the biggest free agent busts in recent memory.

He's had a rough first year, but I think it's a little early to call it one of the biggest free agent busts in recent memory.

I suspect next year will go better.

Schwarber wasn't cleared to play the field in games 3, 4 and 5. Will only be available to pinch hit.

I think that's for the best for both his and the teams future. A bad injury could be catastrophic for him at this point in his recovery. He'd be a major liability in the field also (although he isn't great when healthy either)

In 4 Gs at Wrigley with wind blowing out, #Cubs Hendricks has 1.86 ERA (6 ER/29 IP, 34 Ks). That includes shutout 5/28, wind 18 mph to CF
