The Official Dale Earnhardt Jr. Thread

they both were at fault. because it's Dale Jr and not some hack like Dave Blaney, every body is pissed at Kyle.

i never said Kyle didn't run his mouth or have the best delivery sometimes. i just said it can't be pinned one driver.

Kyle's antics are going to catch up to him. Get real and realize that Kyle has no respect for his competitiors. It's a double standard for everything he does. It's magnified 100x because DW is in love with him. At least Sr had respect from his competitiors

Look at the video again, look how far up the turn Busch goes even after he turned Jr. Even if Jr. stayed higher he probably would have been hit. I'm not so sure Jr. could tell what angle Busch had with the vision restrictions and him concentrating on hitting his line. I think Jr. made a mistake by going too high. I would have been covering the inside where Busch was.

Earnhardt said in a post race interview that his car was not very good on the bottom and if he ran down there Busch would have passed him on the outside.

Your right about Kyle but that does not mean he was 100% at fault.

Doozer knows his NASCAR. He can be harsh in his wording sometimes but that does not take away his knowledge.

I'm not saying it was 100% his fault. He's talented, more talented than Jr. But for Doozer to come on here and spew his garbage about how much fans are overating Jr is pure trash. The wreck was a racing deal, it's okay for Kyle to handle that type of racing, but if he's on the receiving end of some hard racing he's pissed. Jr has and will always have more class than Kyle. Jr also has a LOT more respect from his fellow competitiors than Kyle ever will.

Yes Dale has class and you are dead on about Kyle. 07 the truth is most Jr. fans do overate jr talent. I had a Jr. fan tell me Jr. was better than Tony s. and Jeff Gordon and my girlfriend agrees. THEY ARE DEAD WRONG.

Jr's talent is 5-8 in Nascar. He overachieved with the trash he was driving at DEI, but he's not going to burn it up(DW said 6 wins this season) in Hendrick stuff this season. I would say he'll win 2-3 races have around 20-25 top 10's and run in the top 5 in points all season. I'd say he'll be 3-7 in the final standings.

The truth is he is my favorite driver. Not because he is the best but I like his attitude.

What does he know? Seriously, I was aware he ran faster high, but to stay there when Busch was low only invited what happened. I would have gone low just before Busch got his nose inside of me which should have caused him to lose momentum, yet not give him time to go high with momentum. Tricky, and risky, but couldn't have been any worse off. In my scenario Jr. would have the ability to force Busch up toward the wall and force him to lift. At worst he would have finished 2nd or at least be the wrecker instead of wreckee.

do unto others before they do unto you

Jr is on the cover of the new ESPN the magazine... nothing to do with kyle though

This was an article that was posted on ESPN's website on Monday. It's one of the best articles that I have ever read about Dale Jr. People always ask why Dale Jr. has so many fans. This article is a perfect example of why he does. It's a long read, but well worth the time.

I agree JV, reflects very well on Jr., the more I read and watch him, the more I find to like. I was a Dale Sr. fan when he first started because he gave Waltrip fits at Bristol, but lost my fondness later. Guess that carried over to Jr. That and I still think he is overated by his fans. I am gaining new found respect for him.

Junior will roll off 2nd (behind Biffle) at Darlington tonight. Teammates Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon will also start in the top 10. It'd be nice to finally have them both up running with Junior. Stewart, Hamlin, and Busch always help each other up in front... maybe the Hendrick boys can start doing the same.

Junior owns 3 cars that finished in the top 5 of tonight's Nationwide race.

3. Brad Keselowski- #88
4. Dale Earnhardt Jr.- #83
10. Jimmie Johnson- #5

Pretty impressive for JR Motorsports.

He may have had win #2 for JR Motorsports had Hamlin not crinkled up Keselowski's fender. That was one of the better Nationwide races I've seen all year though

Great to see Brian not back down from Denny. I understand people want to blame Brian for starting the whole deal, but he just gave Hamlin a nudge. Hamlin, knowing how big of a deal that aerodynamics are bent up Brian's fender. It was a racing deal. Denny's post race quotes really pissed me off though. What's he talking about Brian having no experience? It's the Busch Series, it's Brian's series. If you're going to complain then race your own.

I totally blame Brad. Not only did he give him the hit in the back,he pulled along side him under yellow which is why I blame him. That was a dumb move especially when you have a shot at winning. I agree with Denny to wait until the end of the race to settle the differences they were having. But Brad chose to handle it then, with a race win on the line. Now, I was out had missed most of the race so I didn't see what happened between them under green so this is just based on the incident alone.

what does everyone think about Jr pitting while pit road was closed... he was penalized but then got his lap back for no explained reason...Nascar showing favoritism??? Im sure doozer loved it

The penalty was going to the end of the longest line which is where he went. Losing the lap was for endangering pit road personel which it was determined he didn't do so that's why he didn't lose a lap. Nascar made the right call I believe.
