well he did pass an emergency vehicle on pit road... being a Jr fan, I hate to say it, but I doubt nascar wouldve reversed the penalty on many other drivers

after seeing all the video and hearing several different recounts of the issue, i think they got it right as well.

People who know what they are talking about should have no issue with it, which leaves out ESPN. They have become sensationalists more than reporters, and never miss a chance to say something negative about NASCAR. Couldn't have anything to do with losing tv rights:whistling:

I'm just glad Jr. wheeled it to a top 5 finish with a little help with pit strategy and people running out of gas. If he wants to win a championship that's how its got to be done, being consistent

For once thier late race strategy paid off, one of the few times they gained positions after the last pit stop.

how many times has jr. pitted when pit road is closed? who's fault is it? his or ury?:blink:

He's not talking about that, he's talking about Eury not making proper adjustments and keeping up with the race track at the end

In this case pitting early was the right call, staying out doing more damage to the car would have resluted in losing more time than the penalty was.

based on the results so far this year, it's hard to fault the guy. i'm probably his biggest critic, but that team has been solid all year. yeah, maybe they've missed on a couple late race adjustments, but maybe somebody else hit on theirs.

considering his late wreck, finishing in the top 5 may have been his best performance of the season (along with leading all those laps)

It is hard to be overly critical when they are 3rd in points and Johnson and Gordon are 9th & 10th.

"I told him to be ready in October in case I get suspended because I want to go deer hunting and I want him to be ready," Eury said with a laugh. "I told him I wasn't going to do nothing wrong until October. [In] October, anything can happen because I love to deer hunt."

I wish this would happen and Hendrick would fire Eury (in a perfect world)

It never seems to matter what stage of the race it is, he won't take a chance....It's like coming in with 40 laps to go to top off with gas, next caution he'll say come on in fill it up we got enough to make it 50 laps, we need enough to make 80....Eury has done decent so far this season but he needs to gamble a little bit more, that's why Jr. hasn't won a race yet, that and he's just not had the car at the end...JMO

after reading that article I think its more bc of Grubbs effort than Eury Jrs as to why Jr has done so well this year... Jr and Eury just argue and Grubb moderates

Eury is just the middle man it sounds like after reading that, get rid of him an let Grubb take control. Let Eury set his Dale Jr.'s cars up because he knows how to set his cars up to his liking and let Grubb make the calls during the race. Because even with the equipment and resources Eury has to work with at Hendrick Motorsports he still has no clue on how to adjust to make the car better as the race goes on

Who knows maybe today will be the day but he's going to have to beat that 18 car again.....Edwards will be strong too
