The Official Detroit Lions Den Thread

Another year, another season without a playoff win in my lifetime.

Is the Lions locker room next to the owners box or something? Looked like Megatron was climbing 10 flights of stairs after the game.

Aren't you giving up a little up too soon? GB plays PIT and @ CHI. CHI plays @ PHI and vs GB. DET plays NYG and @ MIN. Let's say the Lions win both their games (doable), Green Bay loses to the Steelers (doable), Chicago loses to the Eagles (doable). None of that would be a stretch.

In that case, DET would be 9-7 and I think they'd get in regardless of what happened in the last game between CHI and GB. If CHI won, they'd be 9-7 too, but DET won both games against them this year so they'd win the tiebreaker. Whereas if GB won, they'd be 8-7-1 and the Lions would beat them out too.

Anyway, I don't think it's unlikely at all that both GB and CHI will lose next week and put your team right back in it. Gotta win though.

It's the Lions.

I no longer trust this team to win with the way they turn the ball over.

Oh come on. Half the fun of rooting for an historically crummy team is coming up with scenarios where they're technically still in it. This is what you signed up for, remember?

I'm in. Monday night sucked but there is hope.

I know, I know. I'm just really bummed out from last night. They win last night and they most likely would win the division.

They will beat the Giants. They SHOULD beat the Vikings, but the Vikings are playing better. Chicago is hitting their stride.

So we're saying there's still a chance to be the worst division winner ever! This is the worst case scenario because I feel like management's dumb enough to trick themselves into thinking Schwartz earned himself another season

Just heard on the radio that of all the NFL coaches on the hot seat that Our coach has the highest odds of being canned.

That's good I think.

I don't think Schwartz is that bad, but it's obvious he's not a legitimate playoff contending coach year in and year out.

I am a big fan of Mayhew though.

Must win today and we need either GB or the Bears to lose for next week to mean anything.

Division title or nothing. The most Lions thing to happen would be this:

-Beat NY
-CHI and GB both lose
-Control destiny
-Lose next week on walkoff Peterson TD in overtime to miss playoffs

LOL this team is so horribly coached

Also my confidence in Stafford has never been lower. I trusted rookie Stafford more than I do this edition
