The Official Detroit Lions Den Thread

I can't argue with the first 3 and I have no idea who Bowles is but I would take Lovie over Roman all day. To me Wisenhunt meets the criteria: NFL head coaching experience, went to a super bowl with a good QB and was a O.C. under a disciplinarian H.C. Cohwer.

Bowles is the Cardinals DC

As a semi closet Lions fan, huge Barry, Moore and Spielman fan from the old days, I hope you all find a good coach. Not good enough to beat the Niners of course but good non the less. Lol

Thanks Jerry and good luck to your Niners this weekend. I hope they crush the fudge packers.

2014 Home opponents: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants

2014 Away opponents: Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons (in London), Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals

It's worth noting that the Lions' game against the Falcons in London will take place in Week 8 on Oct. 26, meaning Detroit's bye will be held in Week 9. It's also worth noting that the Lions will host either the Bills or Dolphins on Nov. 27 if the NFL sticks to its normal rotation by having CBS broadcast the Thanksgiving game.

I know lots of closet Lions fans, but that really took guts to post. :salute:

I'll forever be a Niners fan. But I've always followed Detroit for some reason. Was a Bad Boys fan in basketball. Loved watching Barry run, Spielman killing guys, Herman Moore was a beast with a lot of bad QBs. Jason Hanson is fun to watch, ok the last part is a lie. Lol

Happy New Year's to my fellow Volunteer Lion Brothers. Hope 2014 is a great year for all of you and your families and also hope we get a great coach and maybe win the Super Bowl.

Ken Whisenhut is the favorite for the job.

I personally would like the hire. Get a 4-3 DC and let's get to work.

I love, love, love the home schedule.

Patriots, Jets, Cards, and Panthers on the road is brutal.

I just liking give ya a hard time.

And I have nothing this postseason. NOTHING!!!

I felt bad for that guy, receiving death threats and crap. People are stupid.

You could always be a Broncos fan like everybody else on here. Lol

So you are saying at worst we finish is 12-4. Next year can't get here soon enough.

I think the North will be tough next year.

But Detroit is a CB upgrade and fixed Stafford away from being a team to be reckoned with.
