Was thinking the same thing Mad. I'm not seeing a complete 4-0 (I bet New Orleans lights us up) but 3-1 is highly possible.
Just some overall thoughts.
1) Matthew Stafford is a top 3 MVP candidate. If Joe Flacco or Ryan Tannehill was the QB of this team they are 2-7. 18-5 TD/INT and top five in completion percentage right now. He's got a young offensive line and no true running back and it doesn't matter. The dude is awesome. AND HE'S ONLY 28 YEARS OLD.
2) This defense sucks, and Teryl Austin is getting a lot of blame. But no playmaking DT's, not one good healthy LB and injuries to the secondary have killed them. Bob Quinn really needs to find better athletes at linebacker. TE's/middle of the field have killed us all year.
3) I really like the potential of this defensive line. Hyder/Ansah are good, I think A'Shawn Robinson can be a stud. Walker and Thornton are inconsistent but young. I would like a pass rushing DT in the draft.
4) How about the 2016 draft? Decker/Glasnow have been great especially Decker. He looks like a stud. Glasnow is doing an excellent job. I like Antwoine Williams and Anthony Zettel despite the rough patches. They are rotation players along with Miles Killebrew. Dwayne Washington is at least a rotational back. That's six guys I think will be at minimum contributors for the next couple years.
5) Also, big shout out to Quinn for revamping the wide receiving corps. Jones has cooled off but still a deep threat that can create plays and man has Anquan Boldin been awesome.
Overall, love the offense. It's a damn shame Ameer Abdullah got hurt because he was looking so good. Defensively, I want some more creativity with Austin. But the talent on the back just isn't there yet. Lawson/Slay when healthy have been good but no slot cornerback and lack of athleticism/depth at TE has killed us.
