I’m not a fan of either Duke or UNC. Just popped in here to see if Allen was a topic of discusssion and if anyone was trying to actually defend him. Sure enough, lol.

I think the only way you can get an intentional foul call these days is if you’re the only person between the ball handler and basket and you basically just grab them or wrap them up to prevent them from scoring. Since the play happened well behind the play I see why it was a flagrant.

It was funny to see him and Berry laugh about it once they got back on the court.

The only reason that was a big deal was because it was Grayson Allen and he plays at Duke. Think about some of the stuff the Pistons used to pull back in the day and nobody would blink an eye. Allen bumps a guy and it’s the worst thing ever. He’s the next white Duke player to be hated. Ferry, Laettner, Hurley, Collins, Redick, Paulus, Singler....etc.

Stop defending the kid. He’s a tool and has proved it time and time again.

He’s the Manziel/Baker Mayfield of college basketball.

I loved JJ Redick btw. Allen is nothing like him.

With his track record you better believe it is anybody else maybe. Dude is a flat out douchebag and I hope he goes pro and does more of that crap. He get what he deserves on nightly basis when he does play when whatever team is way up or way down because he will be the 10th man in maybe. Flat out punk

He’s a better kid than both of them. I can’t defend what he did in the past in those 3 actions . It’s indefensible and was egregious. However, he’s an academic all American, he’s never been in any legal trouble, he’s been a person that visited a little girl in the hospital who had terminal cancer just about everyday before she died. He’s not that bad of a guy. Hell James Winston didn’t get half coverage as Allen and he was accused of rape and theft. Don’t tell me that there is not an agenda. You guys may not like him and I get it, but he’s been destroyed by the media because he’s a white player at Duke.

I’m not delusional. Tell me what other players have been more scrutinized since Laettner. I mean Battier is one of the sharpest guys ever, but if you watched him play he had a bit of a hot streak that would rival Allen’s . Gerald Henderson broke Hansbrough’s face and people cared for about 48 hours. Grayson Allen was on every ESPN tweet last year every time he committed a foul.

If you don’t think that the media tears down and also praises white Duke players you’re delusional.

I think it’s because he’s so sloppy and unathletic. Can’t properly appreciate a goon that can barely lift his own legs whilst trying to take out his opponent’s. :hmm:

It’s partially because his issues keep coming up over and over and over again, thus keeping him in the news. If he did it 3 times over a one-week span, it’d be yesterday’s news even quicker than Jameis’ issues were. Spread out over a 3-year span, it gets covered differently.

Oh yeah, duke sucks and allen is a dirty player. I guess its salt in the wound that the lose was to unc. Lol funny as heck though.

I didn't see unc or duke beating uva, just their year. Great job uva on taking advantage of down unc and Duke teams.
