Ain’t a single announcer on ESPN worth listening to.
They have a little sheet of fun facts that they think might be pertinent to the game for each team.
Evansville probably don’t have too many fun facts.
Tennessee probably has a lot of fun facts.
But they try to push the narrative one way or another. To the uninformed fan, it draws interest. To the informed fan, it’s a bunch of baloney.
That’s all they’re doing. They try to add emotion whenever possible and cater to what’s happening.
They’re gonna piss off some fan base one way or another.
So the best way to avoid that is to mute them and just watch the game, play some music, or (best choice) tune into the Vol Network on WIVK or whatever you can get. I’m in SC and I listen on the app.
It is exponentially better for the loyal Tennessee fan.
If people still want to listen to those cockwombles on ESPN or SECN, suit yourself.
