Watching Tony walk to the mound knowing that this was Zander’s curtain call made me tear up. I so wanted him to have a big outing on his last time pitching at LNS and he certainly did!

I was at that game. It was bonkers.

The other thing I remember is it feeling like RA Dickey threw 200 pitches. And them when he went in the draft, they said his arm was messed up.

That whole team was full of those guys. Gave absolutely everything they had.

I hope we can start a series and play some games at your new place in coming years. We play some SEC schools before conference so maybe our coaches can get together and make it happen. Well said. Fan is short for fanatic after all, and I would say the vast majority of us want what is best for the team and generally are well-intentioned, even if we can get pessimistic when adversity hits. Tony’s “rant” was an excellent reminder and lesson on the way success should be evaluated in life. After all, if winning the national championship is the only bar to be met for a successful season, then we are producing a lot of losers in life, and we know that simply isn’t the case.

Absolutely. I'd love a weekend series with you all. Or better yet, meeting up in one of those preseason invitationals in a warm place.

As much as Vitello spoke about Carroll and his program all through the week, I definitely think we'll see each other again.

And, I'd be happy to bring the basketball team down for a game as a thank you for knocking off Kentucky that time lol.

Looks like Volstylexx wasn't the only one mad at the stupidity and negativity of some of our fans yesterday. That's the most impassioned I have ever seen Tony. Look at what ya'll did to that man. I'm telling you, better learn to chill it or he may listen when that phone rings from Arkansas one day (like some Vol fans were saying they hoped would happen) yesterday.
