I have been thinking about the matchups in this game. I really think our defense can stop their run. This game may very well come down to the QB play on both sides. Thoughts?

The problem with this isn't necessarily that we need 15 or 50 yard passing plays to win. But we DO need the threat of those plays to pull the defensive backs away from the line of scrimmage and soften up the coverage. As it is, teams can stack the line and play tight coverage because there's no threat of getting burned. If we could stretch the field a little, you better believe that Riggs would really look the stud, and there would be a lot more room to run after short completions.

This game should be a battle. Let's hope the vol fans can get fired up for the biggest home game of the year.

Agreed, its gonna take consistency and a lot of heart to battle in this one. Granted yes a couple deep balls earlier in the season would help us, but all its gonna take is ONE early on in this game to change how Georgia views our passing game, therefore opening up a bit more for those short Dink n' Dunk passes, quick screens and Riggs for where ever he choses to run it.

Personally, I think UGA would be a lot better off this year to get the I and just pound the ball.
As for stopping their run, we kept LSU (who according to some publications have the best running game in the country) to 98 yards. Personally i dont think Ware and Brown are on the same level with Addai (LSU). We've only allowed 66.1 yards a game which is 4th in the nation. I still think it will be a good game but not as close as most are saying.
