For a bleeding orange UT fan, this is a tough day. In this loss to Georgia, I think it's fair to give the guys some slack, having played 3 games in 13 days. That said (and I'm not expert, but I've been a dedicated UT fan since I could walk)...I think it's appropriate that Tennessee lost this game and will fall dramatically in the rankings! The potential for greatness with this team is certainly there, but by no means (Baton Rouge notwithstanding) are we a top 10 team with the plethora of penalties, focus mistakes, turnovers and various other mental mistakes we have consistently made. My personal feeling is that punting the ball with 6 and a half minutes left (on fourth and, yes, 10) was the wrong decision, if not gutless! The way this game had gone, it was practically conceding the game. And if that wasn't frustrating enough, to sit on 3 timeouts, not using one until 1:52 left in the game...what in the hell was that?!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tough day for a Vol fans. Very tough.

the bottom line is you need [expletive] talent to win a football game in the sec. clausen has heart but ainge has the talent.

With the potential this team has and the way I've watched it be wasted...if SOMEONE isn't fired and soon, who could understand why? In the southeastern conference, you don't waste talent for long this way and keep your job. Lady in Orange, I too will always be a Vol fan, but it can't all be "I love you anyway" sentiments. If a team/program wants to improve, it has to hash out the hard decisions, admit mistakes and make changes accordingly. I admire your optimism, and you seem very gracious, but there MUST be a collective voice that demands a change...it must, must happen!
