When your pitching Coach is the national pitching coach of the year and consistently spits out low ERAs, high strikeout to walk ratios, and 1st rounders, the best pitchers in the country will want to play for you. That’s fair. I hated pitching from the stretch, it never felt natural to me and I lost a lot of control when I had to shorten up my delivery like that.
But I wasn’t a D1 level player, and besides just the implications in game of that philosophy is that the MLB obviously won’t allow that, and I don’t see how we won’t be negatively recruited against for not preparing them how to pitch at a professional level
Can’t deny that logic lol. But you know other SEC schools will use that to recruit against us. Especially since that’s pretty much the only ammunition they’ll have. When your pitching Coach is the national pitching coach of the year and consistently spits out low ERAs, high strikeout to walk ratios, and 1st rounders, the best pitchers in the country will want to play for you.
I hear you but the results will overcome that stuff and if it doesn’t, I’m not sure the Pitcher would be bright enough to pitch for us anyways. Can’t deny that logic lol.
