Gruden was wearing an Arkansas red tie last night. He mentioned Tennessee, as in the state of Tennessee (I believe). He also commented rather positively of Auburn (when talking about Jason Campbell, Ronnie Brown and Cadillac.........)

What are your takes?????

I think there were clear signs of ambivalence. The encouraging sings were almost as dubious as the discouraging ones. I was able to sleep afterwards though.

The probability of Gruden coming the Vols is less then 1%. Think about it, the 10 highest paid coaches in the NFL make between $7.5 to $5.5M. If Gruden were to coach again, I would believe he would become one of the top 10 highest paid coaches in the NFL. The Vols can't pay him anywhere close to that and pay his assistans the salary they will require to come here.

I have many other points I could make but chose not to piss on anyone's parade.

Read this article on his wife, pretty sure she wouldn't want to come here either.

I don't think I understand the point of your link, or how you surmise it means she wouldn't want to be in Knoxville. Either way, that story was written more than a decade ago, and lots of things can change in that amount of time.

Are you really serious thinking what color tie he has on is an indication of where he is coaching? If you think this you are nuts! Gruden is most likely doing it to gain publicity because he knows and hears people think he give indications on MNF. That is obsurd to think he would do that or what color tie he has on is something to go on. Stop grasping at straws guys, I really don't think he will come here we can't pay him enough. All your doing is setting your self up for failure. Wait it out Hart seems like a smart guy he will hire a coach that will get wins here at UT. But gruden is a pipe dream it happens every year at end of season his name is thrown around and it will always be that way. He plays it up to drive his salary up eleswhere. I would do the same thing if I was him. It only drives his stock up.

To the guys acting like we have no shot whatsoever... did you just decide this on your own and then put your head in the sand ever since? I'm not saying its a done deal, but every day someone in the media, even ESPN and CBS guys, have come out and said: Gruden is putting a staff together, Gruden is interested in UT, Gruden currently seems more interested in college than the NFL right now. To say at this point that he has zero interest is more ridiculous than saying we've already got him.

When you read all these GrudThreads, you can clearly see which VN fans know what they are talking about with regards to the likelyhood of him landing in Ktown.

Nobody on here knows more than anyone else. We're all just arm chair QBs trying to call the game we wish it to be played.

I hope he comes myself but I just don't see it. I hope I can look back and say I was wrong. But rest assured he will not sive any childish hints on MNF. In regards to his tie color or saying someone is from the UNIVERSITY OF TN
