Like I said, if ball doesn’t get by, they are absolutely taught to get in a run down, so runners can advance. CTV has said as much.

They are taught not to get in a run down which is by making sure the ball gets thru the in field. But if the runner makes a bone-headed play and is stranded in no man’s land - then yes they are taught to get in a run down. You’re orange colored glasses get in the way of you recognizing a very simple concept when a team has runners in the corner and no outs - which is not to get thrown out at home which is why they are told-taught to make sure the ball gets thru the infield so as to avoid being thrown out or getting caught in a run down.

only thing laughable is your constant criticism and know it all attitude. Dickey was told to run on contact if ball was on ground.

That’s bs. Men on 1st and 3rd no outs. Base runner on third has been taught since he was 10 to make sure the ball gets thru. If you played abd had a half way decent coach you would have been taught that as well.

Guess you never heard of these concepts either:

Freeze on a line drive - tag on a fly ball to the outfield - oh and make a ground ball get thru the infield before heading home.
