The Official Mike Trout Thread

but he probably will after 2014 with 2.159.

yeah, since the super two went up to the top 22%, the cut off date is later, around July

iirc, the nationals, even if somebody hadn't gotten hurt forcing their hand to call him up, were gonna call him up whenever they wanted and say **** the eventual super 2 status.

It is going to be close.. I see him being a bargain somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 to 190.. But it is the Dodgers so..

Kershaw is going to get PAID. But I worry about a 25 year old with almost 1,000 innings on that arm of is.

I'd bet on the 25 yr old over the 30 yr old.

I don't think Verlander is going to get anything more than 5-6 years. But he's definitely going to get per year a ton of cash. I'm thinking exactly Josh Hamilton's contract. 5 years/$125M

If the tigers offer him 5/125 he will scoff and head to free agency.

Should have clarified. That's what he should get. He's going to get more. The interesting part is will Detroit wait? He's not a FA till after 2014. He'll be 32 when that happens. At that rate, he'll have pitched somewhere around 1,400 innings in the last six years. I just don't know if someone is going to give a 32 year old pitcher a 7-8 year contract.

I disagree with this.

I think ESPN, like some of you and the haters, wanted Harper to pull some brash, cocky moves so that he could be a huge, polarizing talking point for them. While Trout was always the good guy. Regardless of their performances.

He has disappointed them, in that regard. Not on the field. :hi:

lol Dbake went all TideWarrior on this post :hi:

Still true. Don't worry he'll be full-fledged douche mode this year.

Well. I still think the hate will be overdone. But there will be a benches clearing brawl and it will be ~75% due to Harper.
