While it's not as exciting as last season, we will have important games where a sac fly might be the difference. Little things will mean a lot come tournament time.Denton is a really good player. He didn’t capitalize on the last 3rd base situation but gets this one home. That’s the sign of an experienced player.
Last year was so much fun, but I learned from other SEC fans…
stats don’t matter, wins don’t matter, arguably being the greatest NCAA team of all time and ranked #1 all year don’t matter. Winning the SEC don’t matter. Winning the SEC tournament don’t matter. Being the Number one seed don’t matter.
If you aren’t the WS champion, nothing else mattered.
So one out, man on first. One struck ball caught clears the previously occupied 3 bags.
If there is a double play, it is statistically impossible to have 3 runners left on base. 1 out of the three runners got out along with the batter. The most could be 2 runners LOB on an inning ending DP.So one out, man on first.
A 6-4-3 DP results in a stranded runner?
Idk the actual rule but I'd common sense argue that stranded equals the guys standing around still on base wishing we got to have another batter, and the dp eliminated one of the three.
