The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Always did well at plate tracks but never being able to master the intermediate tracks is why he never won a championship.

In order for him to win those intermediate tracks it was like he had to have an absolutely perfect car off the truck. I will say he is a bit of an underrated short track driver though.

Honestly I'm tired of AJ's attitude. If I were that #47 team I'd dump him after today and tell Richard Childress I'd put Ty Dillon in the seat for the rest of the year in return for increased support.

He just punted out Larson in the final turn. Larson loses 24 spots.

Agree. I watched both practices and qualifying and all he did was complain about the car. I know he wanted the car to be perfect but he's not driving for a top-tier team and they were doing all they could for him with what they had to work with. The last lap punt of Larson was frustration. I know he has talent but he only has to look in the mirror for being in the position he's in. I don't think yesterday helped his case for a top ride. JMO.

Yep, AJ was the first driver to ever complain to his team about having a bad car and it's really going to hurt him since nobody ever complains about their car or about having a bad day. What a shame.

Hopefully other drivers can learn from his mistakes and not complain about their cars going forward.

Nope, not the first ever to complain, but he did it enough in the first two practices that the announcers were talking about his attitude and I think I heard it mentioned in the race also. Other than Kyle Busch late in the race I don't recall them talking about the attitude of any of the other drivers ( not sure they commented on Kyle, the in-car radio was clear enough). Just saying that JTG Daugherty Racing don't have the equipment that JGR, Penske, RCR and others have and the team can only do so much. He expects to be the guy to beat on a road course and I respect that, but it ain't always going to happen.

I'm, I'm just devastated to hear a driver complain so much that it was mentioned on TV. How dare him have a will to win and put pressure on himself to do so. The nerve of some drivers...

Try Paxil. Works for a lot of people. Me, I'd rather have a pint of Ale now and then. Have a good day, Mr. Doozer. :)

I'm trying to have a good day but the news of AJ Allmendiger saying meanie things to his crew has put a sever damper on it.

I appreciate the kind words nonetheless.
