That’s what I thought too. Maybe they recently changed their screwy rule or maybe just saw an opportunity to further punish Larson.

Larson hit the wall and didn't maintain "reasonable" speed so everyone else who was faster ended up in front of him.

It is the point when it was thrown. I watched the race and saw the animation they provided. Elliot was on his rear fender when the caution was thrown.

See picture below. Larson is the car at the pit lane. The first five cars have went through the picture already.
