The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Seriously what an absolute c**t. You ran over your teammate last week for a win after he passes you clean then you pull some stuff like that.

Spoiled rich kid who doesn’t have to do anything. Continues to be the downfall of nascar.

There's also stuff on twitter that a Nascar official got hurt in the altercation. They need to sit his ass for a while.

Ty uses his bumper week in and out to move people as soon as the green flag drops. Someone does it to him and THATS his reaction? Nah. And then to start throwing punches with your helmet on? Nah. I was a fan of his just because of his talent I lost all respect last night. I can't wait until he gets to cup and someone junks his **** and he tries that crap.

Not to mention every time he wins he tries to be all Christian and thanks God and Jesus in every interview and then pulls that ****. What a crock.

I’m really irritated of the untalented, spoonfed rich kids that are offspring of owners and former and current drivers.

I’ll be coming from Atlanta for the Talladega race. The race is at 3:00 ET. What is a reasonable time to make the drive, park, and get to my seats in the tri-oval and not miss the prerace activities?

I've always been there the day before (and will again this year), so I honestly don't know how the drive in is day of. I don't think it'd be too bad. They have it pretty well figured out there unlike other places *cough* Bristol *cough*

I’m coming from the other direction, but we plan on getting there between 9-10 local. We hang out and tailgate for a bit before going to the track though.

If you’re parking at the free parking, I’d allow at least half an hour to get from your car to seats, excluding any time you want to spend at midway or souvenir haulers. Obviously the closer to the race you arrive the worse the traffic will be near the track. They state patrol seems to do a decent job there of keeping folks moving though.

I’m attending the race on the way back from a wedding in Atlanta. Driving home to Memphis after the race. Couldn’t have picked a better weekend

That worked out nicely. We’ll be headed back to Memphis area after as well. Usually a nice drive that late once you get past Birmingham.

What do you guys think about this dirt at BIR? I hope they put a fork in it after this year…too many variables and not entertaining based on the sample size of one race last year and 30 this year.

I was all for it last year but after seeing it, I say leave Bristol alone. If they want a dirt race, go to an established dirt track like Eldora or somewhere.
