The Official NASCAR Talk Thread

Shaken up seems like a gigantic understatement. Well, felt like we could’ve gotten 2 fatalities but didn’t. Let’s run it back.
The Blaney one has me more shook than the Preece one honestly. The rolls are scary and the roof hatch/window net coming off and loose are bad, but as losing as hes flipping hes losing energy. For Blaney that sudden stop is much worse, I mentioned it earlier, but I saw on in car cam of Blaneys hit and even with the HANS device his helmet came forward and hit the steering wheel.

Nasty nasty nasty wrecks today. Hope Preece is okay. Still concerned for blaney, he had another nasty hit this year too.

Obviously happy for my guy to make his way into the playoffs. If he can perform at road courses like he did at Watkins Glen last week, he will make it in 2024 with a lot less nervousness.

After watching the replay of his flips I'm surprised that hasn't happened before now with the next gen car as the under side of the car looks like a Hot Wheels or matchbox car.

Byron sure seems to have a lot of luck this year. Felt like yet another race he was not one of the best cars that random mess helped him win.

I don’t think there is much the 23 could have done differently. He wasn’t going to get any help from the 9 car off the line. I think if he committed to running a line in 3-4 planning to go 2 wide, he could have been able to race back into 1-2. The attempt to block may have compromised his 3-4. Good day overall, but it will sting about as bad as Michigan last year.

He was cooked once Chase laid back.

Byron is backing in to wins this year similar to Bowman in 2021. But the difference is Byron has consistently ran top 5-10 cars and has dominated a few of the races. Bowman was the luckiest driver I’d ever seen during his 2021 season.
