If Butch royally screws up and doesn't go 6-6 or better, which is what I think that he has to do in order to not get fired, I'd turn to Fuente at Memphis. What he's done there is nothing short of miraculous.

I agree but I think 5-7 is what it would take. Not that I'm rooting for us to be that bad or anything.

They really don't want to fire him. If they did, they wouldn't have much money to spend. Fuente would be affordable and would really be a great hire.

I think he gets a 4th year unless he goes 4-8 and losses to Vandy and UK. The good news is, he would be leaving the next guy in 1000× better shape than our last 3 coaches have started with.

We aren't finishing 6-6 or worse. I know this loss hurts, but we are still on track for 8-4. I know that no one on this board will agree with me at this time, but I still think we are in the right direction under Butch.

8-4 is a stretch at this point. 6-6 is very possible.

Yeah there's no rationalizing this. Butch is out of chips and will never win back support.

Just because people don't agree with you doesn't mean they aren't being objective.

I think we'll go 7-5 at worst but I'm not about to assume we beat everyone we should on paper.

It will be interesting to see how UT reacts after some rough games before UK. But right now I still think UK lacks the depth. UF stayed alive. Survived some really big plays. UK would struggle getting run on like that.
