The Official NBA Forum Vols Football Thread

Oh no, I've been shouted down in the FF because some computer said UF has a 26% chance of losing to SC or VU and that's apparently "very possible". Although when pressed on it apparently that's a moving target.

There is the slimmest of chances for a 3 way tie, IF Tennessee wins out.

But it's a pipe dream, a crack pipe dream as Yankee stated.

The craziest finish would be:

Tennessee 8-4 (5-3)
Florida 8-4 (5-3)
Georgia 8-4 (5-3)

Needless to say, if Florida wins this weekend, this crazy talk should be put to rest.

Does a three-way tie really give us any shot though? Wouldn't the tiebreaker eventually come down to who is ranked highest in the polls, and since we have an OOC loss in addition to the three SEC losses, we'd have no shot at being above either of them.

Or, in the crazier scenario you described, how do they break the tie if NONE of the teams are ranked?

That scenario includes Florida losing to FSU and Georgia losing to Georgia Tech. Each school would have 3 conference losses, along with a non conference loss.

The fans in the FF are delusional to think this scenario could happen, but since there is a "chance" it's a high chance in their minds.

We're going to the playoffs if everybody ranked ahead of us loses 4 times.

Get your game faces on, boys. Some folks 'round VN think we don't need it. I think we do, even against KY. Do you all think we'll be able to run pretty effectively this game?
