200 IP is the "benchmark" for pitchers. Last year was the closet he's been. At 29. And he was 40 innings short (5 or so starts)

Not any more. Only 15 pitchers in all of baseball reached 200 innings in each of the last 2 seasons.

The AL league leader in IP the past 2 seasons was only 215.

200 IP is the baseline for a #1 Ace pitcher (which he should be given the assets traded).

He wasn't even in the Top 40 in MLB. 29th in the AL alone.

Got a chance to really hurt the Socks here. Sweep = Sox below .500, Yanks at 40-19. That happens, Socks might be done. But I doubt we sweep. I think we win 3, but a split wouldn’t surprise me either. Either are acceptable outcomes. Losing the series at home is absolutely unacceptable, though.

The bullpen looked great. Kahnle showed good velocity.

Happ had his moments. I don’t know how he survives throwing 91-93 mph fastballs. He makes me nervous every time he takes the mound.
