Lou Gehrig is the greatest ball player of all time.
He put up 114 WAR in 14 seasons (13 of which were healthy). He sat behind Wally Pipp for 2 seasons, and then ultimately got sick and had to hang em up.
If he doesn’t get sick, and gets 18 healthy seasons, he finishes with
160 WAR, .343 AVG, 1.105 OPS, 182 OPS+
650 2B, 650 HR, 3400 H, 2400 R, 2500 RBI
If not for Wally Pipp, he makes a run at 700 2B & 700 HR.
