Auburn would play Oregon tough. That games a toss up in my opinion.

I think Oklahoma would be a solid matchup. A ton of points would be scored in that game.

And this may come to a surprise to some, but I think Boise State matches up well with Oregon. I think that'd be a pretty good game as well.

I still think Alabama would beat Oregon. Tough team who can line up and run the ball as well as stop it. Plus, they're more talented, and defensively, better coached. Would love to see an Oregon vs. Alabama match up.

Basically, any team that can score and score big would be a tough matchup for Oregon. Especially one that can run the ball. That's why USC is probably going to wind up being their toughest test.
Bama may not make it through the SEC gauntlet. Auburn would have to win a shoot out and i'm not sure anyone is winning a shoot out with Oregon. Any team's best bet is pound the rock and shorten the game. Bama is built that way, would be a great match up and one for the ages.

Not sure if Auburn could outscore Oregon but I'd have to think that Newton alone might run for 200+ against their D.

yup. a good defense can disrupt that offense. arizona should give them problems, but without fowles i can't see a victory. they just aren't very good offensively. god knows what SC does. I assure you they will score easily against oregon, but their defense has looked pretty horrible outside of cal and i'm not sure that had a lot to do with sc.

SC sucked last year too and pete carroll was certainly superior to either of the coaches you mentioned.

There's a reason they underwhelmed last season. Pete was gone. Secondly, they didn't really suck. They just weren't their usual dominant selves.

And this years team is a far cry from Petes teams.

The offense is nasty. Barkley is better than any qb Pete had.
